Chelsea Unveils New Away Kit for 2024-25 Season

Chelsea Football Club has recently revealed their new away kit for the upcoming 2024-25 season. After the controversial reception of their “blue flame” home kit, the club opted for a more simplified design for their away jersey. The base color of the shirt appears to be off-white, but it is actually a very pale shade of orange known as “guava ice” by manufacturer Nike. The material of the shirt features a textured weave with a tessellating pattern reminiscent of chain links.

Continuation of the Flame Theme

The flame theme from the home kit is continued in the away jersey with vibrant orange trim, symbolizing the shared ambition, passion, and determination of the club to succeed on and off the pitch. The club crest and Nike logo on the shirt also feature contrasting orange and blue colors, embossed and given an iridescent sheen to stand out under the floodlights.

Preseason Tour and Upcoming Fixtures

The new away kit was unveiled during Chelsea’s preseason tour in the United States, with a promotional video shot in San Jose, California. The team suffered a 4-1 defeat against Celtic in their opening match at the Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana. Chelsea are set to play against América, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan before returning home to continue their Premier League preparations under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea’s first Premier League fixture of the season is against Manchester City on August 18. The team will also face London derbies against Crystal Palace and West Ham United within the first six games of the campaign. As of now, the men’s first-team shirts do not have a main sponsor across the midriff, but that may change as the season progresses. Overall, Chelsea’s new away kit offers a fresh and simplified look for the upcoming season, emphasizing the club’s commitment to success and unity.
