The Future of Gio Reyna at Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, has dismissed rumors of Gio Reyna wanting to leave the club during this transfer window. He mentioned that Reyna could play a crucial role for the team in the upcoming season.

In the first half of last season, Reyna made 11 appearances for Dortmund before being loaned to Nottingham Forest. Unfortunately, he did not get much playing time at Forest and failed to secure a permanent move to the Premier League club.

Despite his struggles at Nottingham Forest, Kehl expressed optimism about Reyna’s future at Dortmund. He emphasized that Reyna needs to accept his role in the team and work on improving his skills and confidence.

During Dortmund’s Bundesliga opener, Reyna came on as a substitute in the 81st minute and contributed to the team’s 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. Kehl believes that Reyna still has a lot to offer and can play a significant role for the team in the upcoming season.

Kehl mentioned that Reyna has been working on improving his stability, charisma, and goal-scoring abilities. He believes that Reyna’s development in these areas will make him a valuable asset to the team in the future.

Reyna currently has two years left on his contract with Dortmund. Despite interest from other clubs, Kehl is confident that Reyna will stay with the team and continue to progress under the guidance of new head coach Nuri Sahin.

Gio Reyna’s future at Borussia Dortmund looks promising, with the club’s sporting director expressing confidence in the young midfielder’s abilities. As Reyna continues to develop and grow as a player, he has the potential to become a key player for Dortmund in the upcoming season.
