The Latest Transfer Gossip from Europe

Chelsea has made it clear that winger Noni Madueke will not be leaving Stamford Bridge on loan in January, according to a report by The Athletic. The 21-year-old, who arrived in West London from PSV Eindhoven last January, has struggled to secure consistent playing time this season, starting only twice for the Blues. Despite speculation that he could be loaned out in January, Chelsea has decided that Madueke will not be allowed to leave the club, and this decision applies to all established first-team players. Loan moves will only be facilitated for younger players in need of senior experience. The report suggests that 19-year-old Andrey Santos could be a candidate for such a loan move, as he may be recalled from Nottingham Forest and sent out on loan again, having made only two appearances for Forest. Chelsea’s decision is influenced by their already reached maximum threshold for players out on international loans. Loaning out Madueke domestically would further complicate matters for the club. However, Chelsea could be active in the January transfer market to strengthen their squad, as they currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig is unlikely to pursue a loan deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in the upcoming January transfer window. The 23-year-old has experienced a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, leading to speculation that he may leave Old Trafford in January. Although Juventus has shown interest, Sancho reportedly wishes to remain with the Red Devils.

Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Liverpool is unlikely to make a move for Fulham midfielder João Palhinha in January, but interest in the Portugal international remains from other top clubs. Bayern Munich is keen to strengthen their midfield options; however, they consider Palhinha’s price tag to be too high. The 28-year-old was close to a move to Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window, but the deal did not materialize.

Sport reveals that Borussia Dortmund is considering a move for Real Madrid left-back Fran García in January. Los Blancos are reportedly not convinced by the defender and might be willing to let him leave. Additionally, Dortmund is interested in Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilón as they seek to bolster their options at left-back during the January window.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal is willing to wait until the summer to pursue a deal for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz. A January approach seems unlikely as Villa has set a valuation of £100 million. However, with fresh funds available at the end of the season, Arsenal may intensify their efforts to secure Luiz’s signature. Villa may also be more open to letting him go in the summer, rather than losing a key player midway through the campaign.

Foot Mercato reports that Lyon is keen on securing a loan move for Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile. The 22-year-old joined Chelsea from Monaco last January and has made 11 appearances for the Blues in all competitions. He has featured in five matches this season. Lyon sees him as a potential addition to their squad and is looking to strengthen their defensive options.
