The Arsenal Squad: Preseason Tour and Beyond

Arsenal has revealed their 26-man squad for their upcoming preseason tour in the United States, featuring some familiar faces and promising talents. The captain, Martin Ødegaard, will be leading the team alongside Gabriel Jesus as they embark on this tour. The journey begins in Los Angeles with a match against Bournemouth on July 24, followed by a showdown with Manchester United on July 27 at the impressive SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The tour will wrap up with a thrilling match against Liverpool in Philadelphia on July 31.

One of the standout inclusions in the squad is Jurriën Timber, who missed a significant portion of the previous season due to injury. Timber’s return to the squad is a welcome sight for Arsenal fans, who will be eager to see him back in action during the preseason tour. His presence will undoubtedly bolster the team’s defensive capabilities and provide a much-needed boost as they gear up for the upcoming season.

Despite their recent international commitments at Euro 2024, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, Jakub Kiwior, and Oleksandr Zinchenko will be part of the tour as well. Their participation demonstrates their commitment to the team and their willingness to continue putting in the hard work during the preseason. Additionally, Gabriel Magalhães, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz are set to join the squad a day after the tour kicks off on July 25, adding even more firepower to the team.

However, some key players will be missing from the preseason tour. Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, David Raya, and William Saliba have been granted an extended break following their involvement in the latter stages of Euro 2024. While their absence may be felt during the tour, it is essential for their recovery and preparation for the upcoming season.

Once the team returns from the U.S., Arsenal’s preseason preparations will continue with matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon at the Emirates Stadium in August. These games will serve as crucial tune-ups before the team kicks off their Premier League campaign on August 17 against Wolves. The tour and subsequent matches will provide valuable opportunities for the team to gel, fine-tune their tactics, and build momentum heading into the new season. Arsenal fans can look forward to an exciting preseason tour and an action-packed start to the upcoming campaign.
